'56 DeSoto or Oldsmobile?

Thanks a lot John for a very difficult decision for me as I love both cars. By the slightest margins possible, I'm going with the DeSoto. When I was growing up in the fifties I can't ever remember seeing a DeSoto on the street but there were lots of Oldsmobiles. In later years I became more familiar with Chrysler products, and in particular DeSotos, and grew to really like them.

This is an easy win for the lovely DeSoto. The Olds is nice though.

Man, another tough one John!! The Dodge is awfully dashing. The Olds is splendid for '56. I oscillated back and forth so many times I wound up tied!

The sleek, aggressive styling and trim/color separation of the DeSoto makes it an easy winner for me. I prefer the '54 and '55 Olds nose/grille to the wide mouth '56, but still like the car though.

OLDSMOBILE! But the DeSoto would be #3 right behind the beautiful Cadillac for '56.

I'd rather show up for my Saturday morning golf game in that sporty looking DeSoto instead of that staid looking Oldsmobile.

My uncle had a new charcoal gray and white '56 Oldsmobile...I lusted over that car.
Love the DeSoto too.
