@perrone1 This raises the obvious question Tony...how are martinis prepared during outer space happy hour and does the olive remain in the glass or float about?
I could recommend a book on the interrelationship between gravity and celestial mechanics with particular relevance to the inertial behaviour of solid objects suspended in alcohol in a weightless environment. But it doesn't have any pictures or jokes so probably wouldn't hold your attention for long. Especially if you have sunk a few and are well spaced out.

@graeme-ogg Pictures and jokes (simple ones) are a must as I recall from my twelve year Grade 7 Achievement/Attendance progression. A more pressing scientific concern for me at this time is the question of, when an olive is pitted and stuffed with pimento does it by definition remain a solid object?

The Martinis are prepared in an elliptical orbit. They may be shaken, they may be stirred, or they may be tumbled. Depends on if they are being prepared on the Boeing Starliner or thru SpaceX. They are not easily poured from a fine Irish crystal decanter into a beautiful Baccarat martini glass. As to the olive, please refer that question to Arthur C. Clarke for future reference. Whether or not they are stationary or float about depends upon their piercing with that toothpick with that cute paper umbrella at one end.

What about a garlic clove stuffed olive..? Mmm if you ❤️ garlic ! Blue Cheese is another option 👍
Well, you fellas seem to have worked it all out. In deep outer space, martini preparation and consumption are completely different than in a gravitational condition. The Bombay Sapphire Gin and Martini & Rossi vermouth is mixed to a variant relationship; much closer to a ratio of 4 parts to 1. It is poured into several globes during elliptical orbit so as not to spill and be ready when necessary.
One must also forgo the usual Sicilian olive stuffed with Gorgonzola or pearl onion and substitute a Castelvetrano unstuffed olive. Not as good as normally-made 'tinis, but still .....Out Of This World!
@perrone1 Tony you are definitely my go-to-guy for all things martini.
@100ford2003 Steve; you mention the "tumbled" martini. I have had just one; near closing time as I recall...when I went to have a sip and fell off my bar stool.
@perrone1 Your intergalactic martini prep and consumption guide speak volumes to your level of dedication Tony.....a NASA approved rating is impressive!
