the paint color, how the car appeared in the photo background, and the later Cadillac sombrero wheel covers all caught my eye. I've led with a photo of this car that appeared in another series to give you an 'as found' entry.
As found:
My starting point, nosed only:
Cleaned up the front bumper and grill a bit and removed the exterior mirror:
V-butted the windshield and shaved the door handles:
Lowered the cowl, pancaked the hood, modified the beltline trim and paintwork:
Recurved and raised the front bumper, making the grill less massive, tucked the rear bumper and went over the paint and trim with a view toward a smoother package:
I came away really liking this car.

My favorites are; As Found and the very last one. As a Custom, your modifications are excellent, especially the two-toning paint and cleanness of the car. But as a classic '42, the original.
