I decided to make some slight, but hopefully attractive edits, just to see what they look like.
As found:
Mild dechroming, removed the unsightly exterior door hinge and changed the grill:
Frenched the headlights, stripped the bumpers and modified the rear fender to close up the wheel opening. Also altered both the front and rear wheel openings:
Back to standard headlights, slimmed the bumpers, changed the grill, moved new signals under the headlights and slightly modified the front fender wheel opening:
Modified the grill, brought the front bumper up a bit and extended the box/wheelbase:
Stripped the bumpers:
For some reason, I just like this truck and most of the modifications.
What do you think?
Enjoy!

Pic #5 for me. Prefer the grille design and thinner bumper. I generally not a fan of roof chops but this one could use a couple of inches...not too much.
@bob-jackman: Not having viewed the stock '54 Dodge pickup, I didn't realize the hood was a two-piece with flip-up sides. The center strip does give it identity, Bob, but I prefer the cleaner, one-piece hood. Thanks for commenting.
@perrone1: You and Jack got me to messing around a bit more and I came up with this final edit. It's the no-bumper truck with frenched lights, the grill I prefer, a 3" chop and the longer bed. What say ye? Jack?
