Here is a later Studebaker Lark HT, a model I've always liked the shape of, so I decided to try some things.......

just to see what they looked like.

As found:

6x Studebaker Lark Modified PSx (1)

Mild cleanup to both the car and background:

6x Studebaker Lark Modified PSx (2)

Lowered, mild top chop, cleaned and shaved the front bumper and recontoured the wheel houses:

6x Studebaker Lark Modified PSx (3)

Slimmed the bumpers and cleaned up and lowered the headlamps:

6x Studebaker Lark Modified PSx (4)

Sectioned the body over the wheel houses:

6x Studebaker Lark Modified PSx (5)

I believed this car would support a mild chop, with or without a sectioned body and also believed it would benefit from simplicity in design and add-ons. What do you think?

Do any of them appeal more than others?

Enjoy!

I remember seeing a lot of Studebaker Larks when I grew up in the Buffalo New York area. I always liked them I thought they were pretty neat looking cars. But then again I like the 61 Plymouth  and Dodge Lancer.

I have always liked the look of this Lark Daytona HT....something a bit different.  A friend of mine had this exact same car, same color, back around 1970.

This version is my favorite of the changes made Terry.

Since Studebaker was a client of my Dad's back in those years, we had several Studebaker cars over at out house and our family also had a 1963 Studebaker station wagon with the sliding rear top. Some very cool cars and trucks were built by them at their factory in South Bend, Indiana.
