I have always loved these three cars and as the years go by they get closer and closer to a 3-way tie, but the order of preference for me is still as it was in '65 .....Ford, Chevrolet and Plymouth. I would be proud to own any one of them though....or all!

I like Chevy, Ford then Plymouth. All three are very close however.
Great exercise on this one John - Thanks!
In my opinion these 3 are the best looking full size mainstream postwar American cars. Incredibly close, but I voted in the order shown.

1) Chevrolet 2) Plymouth 3) Ford
Along with the '62 Chevy, the '65, they've always been my favorite Chevy's of the 1960's. After the square boxy '64 Chevy, the '65 was a nice change in style.
Regarding the '65 Plymouth, it was a refreshing solution to the evolution that took place for the brand since the extremely odd looking '62. So to my eyes, the '65 was easy to look at.
Finally, the '65 Ford does absolutely nothing for me after the attractive '64 and before it, the '63 and '62. But the '65 Ford for me was square and boxy in appearance, and not a good look to me.

It was a hard choice as all have mentioned. I went with the Plymouth only for the sleek look down the side view. Also the wheels just look better than the other two.
Love the square look on cars. The Plymouth would have been my my first choice, but the rear view turns me off, I'll take the Ford first, Plymouth second, Chevy last. I have memories of 2 friends '65 Chevys and the thing that sticks with me is the tinny cheap sound when the hood was closed, sounded like a large piece of metal duct falling on the floor. The Ford sounded solid. Never tried a '65 Plymouth.
Ford Chevy Plymouth first two very close. ✌️

I really like the 65 Chevy and it was going to edge out the Ford by just a hair. But then I realized what a beautiful interior the Ford had so that's my number one choice.

Chevy with a tie for second between the Ford and Plymouth.
They are all very attractive automobiles and available in several styles and a number of options. My family had a big 1965 Dodge Custom 880 station wagon powered by a 383 cid V-8 engine.
I go back and forth between the Ford and the Chevy for 1st. I love them both. Today, I'm going to with Chevy, Ford and Plymouth. Tomorrow it could be different.

It was a close race between the Chevrolet and the Plymouth. The Ford was never considered. I went it the SS impala coupe.
