Here's a 1940 Ford Nomad-type station wagon, a 'What If' proposal possibly offered by John Kuvakas on this forum. I like it but feel that the......

'as found' version is pretty busy and way too low.

As found:

40 Ford SW Custom (0)

Dechromed, added road clearance and the body unmodified:

40 Ford SW Custom (1b)

Sectioned, added road clearance:

40 Ford SW Custom (3a1)

Extended wheelbase, larger wheel/tire combination:

40 Ford SW Custom (7c)

Any thoughts?

Enjoy!

Nice, but I will just keep the original.  The changes just makes is look plain.

#3 added road clearance. (I suspect that the original has air bags and, at rest/parked, it sits at ground level.)

I like the original but with a bit more clearance; although as has been stated, it likely has air suspension.  On a side note, I would like to see a similarly customized '40 Chev nose on it; in keeping with the Chevrolet theme.

@jack-dodds: Not sure I understand what you wish to see, Jack. Did you  want a '40 Chev nose added to this '40 Ford or would you like to see a '40 Chevrolet done in Nomad fashion?

@tldaly I was thinking of a '40 Chevy front to replace the Ford; more in keeping the look all Chevy.
