for my liking. So, I've done some edits just to see what they looked like.

As found:

40 Mercury Deluxe Coupe Full Custom PS (1)

Sectioned above the beltline to improve the profile:

40 Mercury Deluxe Coupe Full Custom PS (2)

Un-sectioned with less top chop and removed the "B" pillar:

40 Mercury Deluxe Coupe Full Custom PS (3)

Same as above with mild dechroming:

40 Mercury Deluxe Coupe Full Custom PS (4a)

Sectioned again:

40 Mercury Deluxe Coupe Full Custom PS (5)

Sectioned with less top chop than the original:

40 Mercury Deluxe Coupe Full Custom PS (6)

Please share if any of the edits are more appealing to you.

Enjoy!

The last pic is my favorite.  I don't like too much chop.

I'll pass on all of them.  Just give a '49 Mercury in original form please.

Terry, I simply LOVE these styling 'exercises' you present us. And you make it SO thorough that it is sometimes difficult to differentiate between one and another.

I feel like I'm at the optometrist's office - Is 2 better, or worse? HA!

After going back and forth I am enthralled by #6, the last one. You got it perfect!

49 Mercury Coupe Mild Custom Patina

George, I've decided to provide a '49 Mercury coupe in stock appearing condition. Given the wheels and stance, I suspect that the power plant may have been breathed on a bit. Nonetheless, Enjoy!

@tldaly I agree with Tony. I like the comparisons. But what I really like is watching you hone your capabilities. Thanks for sharing them with us!

Terry I prefer less chop but like the slanted B pillars.

I would just love to take this Patinamobile home and restore it....to stock specs of course.  Lol.

@jkuvakas: Thanks, John. Over the past several months I've gotten better at fabricating various details on the bodies, trim and wheels. I've also gotten much more capable at paint blending. I appreciate your noticing and commenting on the edits.

I share John's sentiments Terry.  Your postings remind us just what an art form the custom car evolution was....and still is.

@jack-dodds: Thanks, Jack, you have also began enjoying some of the changes, over stock automobiles. Glad you enjoy the edits.
