There is only ONE answer for today's "Which One".  I'll give you the answer in ONE word: OLDSMOBILE!

Oldsmobile here too. A more fully realized car inside and out.

Is the Mercury a 1972 or 1973? I ask because of the front bumper.

I love 442's, especially the first year model. And, OMG, those twin hood scoops! But there's that heavy rear haunch-line again. The Merc, on the other hand, is pretty wild in its own right. You just don't see too many Montego's prowling today's streets. Suitably sinister in black on black, I gotta go with that bad boy GT!

Olds 442 by a pug nose; it looks brawnier to me.  It's close though, the Montego is very nice looking, especially the GT.

Yeah, I think Google was wrong. It does look much better with the smaller bumper, but then again all the cars did.

1972 montego gt

You're correct Ed; I had a '72 Montego and as you say the bumper is smaller.

I like both but the Olds nudged out the Mercury by the smallest of margins.

The big M please. Most GMC styling after '67 leaves me cold.

That Mercury is an interesting vehicle and you don’t see many these days. Nether the less, I have to choose that 442.

@ed-glorius    That photo would possibly change my vote.   The Mercury's bumper mass in the comparison photo comes off as large and heavy, unbecoming of the rest of the design.
