Here's a '51 Buick Roadmaster convertible in a pleasant dark blue that is a car I normally wouldn't select for edits, but......

the car in this setting made me curious to see what some edits might look like, so I did them. I offer a few of them here and ask that you purists please forgive me. I know you like 'em as the factory made them, but I like change and share them with you knowing that I haven't violated any beautiful vintage tin.

As found:

Slightly lowered with come dechroming and grill work:

Additional grill work and changes to the bumper:

Added grill work with the changed front bumper and a tucked in rear bumper:

A final grill change:

Some changes to the rear quarter panel to open the wheel well, requiring side trim alteration:

Again, I don't intend to offend but do wish to share some of the changes.

Your courteous opinions are always welcome.

Enjoy!

The Buick Roadmasters are always such beautiful cars that they look great in all these forms, from stock to various custom mods. It is usually a fine, well-designed automobile that it can take customizing in stride.  .

All of the changes look great.  The last 3 pics with the grill change impressed me as leaning toward more of an Oldsmobile look.

IMO there is no way to improve upon the original.
