I like the Diecast Zone, and I've been part of it far back in its older format.  But over the years I've also been a builder of model car kits, a hobby that has accelerated in the last couple of years.  I see enough activity in this area to know there are others, in different scales, who do the same.  Since our tools, paints, and methodology cut across scale lines, I would like to see a forum dedicated to kit building.  I don't know if it's possible, but I'm raising the question.  Any possibility?  Any interest?

David;  I don't build models but really enjoy what is offered on this Forum. Your suggestion however is probably a good idea as a way to grow the numbers of interested/contributing modelers and exposure to their interesting projects.

I always enjoy David’s model building posts and continue to build myself, having done so for at least 50 years at this point.

I would like to see a forum area dedicated to any build activity, all scales. We have a couple of Forum areas that are currently inactive or sporadic. Perhaps one of these could be replaced.

Failing that, we can continue adding kit building and scratch building to the current Forums.

Enjoyable either way.

Would you limit it to cars and trucks?

I am game for that forum as well, since I have posted some of my builds under the 1/24 forum.

@john-barry   Sure, John.  I fairly often picture one of mine on 1/43, my favorite scale.  But I also like other scales.  Other subjects, too.
