This is a poll I was going to ask John to conduct one day, but since he's away for a while, I thought I'd ask the question using his format.
'57 Mercury: Dual or Quad headlights?

Dual. A little more subtle on a vehicle that's anything but.

I prefer the dual head lights but it wasn't long before the quads became the way of the future.

I am not a fan of this design era of Mercury but I must say that the dual headlight treatment makes it look far less "cluttered".

I'm in the dual camp on the Mercury. It seems to me that the stylists designed the car with dual headlights but were told to come up with a Plan B if the quad headlights were approved. This appears to be the opposite of what happened with the 1957 Chrysler products.

Personally on these Merc's I like the quad headlights better. Not to say they look good on other cars like the Chrysler shown above.
