Though I'm not usually a Station Wagon fan, I'd have been all over these two in 1:24 scale.  Spectacular beauties!  They would look so good parked next to each other on my car shelves.

1956 FORD FAIRLANE and 1956 MERCURY MONTEREY

All kidding aside, George, take a step out of your "comfort zone" and buy yourself one of these in 1/43:

56merc

It'll be well worth the hundred bucks or so!

I can 100% guarantee that I will NEVER buy a 1:43 scale model.  Not even if they are Oldsmobile's.  My "comfort zone" is that they are too small and not worth a $100+ price tag.  This is one NEVER, you can take to the bank.

I can honestly say I've never listened to a STYX song.  Certainly not my generation.  Smile

Not your generation? Styx, an American rock band, was hugely popular in the 70s and 80s. Among their many hits are Lady, Come Sail Away, Blue Collar Man, Babe...

Yes, not my generation because I'm an old Rock 'n' Roll and Country music guy.  Always have been.

LOL, they're basically the same car.  I'd take either in 1:24 diecast, but would prefer BOTH.

In any scale, from full-size to models, these are great-looking wagons ..... both of them.
