I think that (a) there are just two colours of sphere and (b) you are intent on sneaking a certain two-colour theme into our consciousness by ever more perverse and devious means.

Am I right, or am I right? (I think probably both).

There is a controversy here ...

One can argue the balls are in 3 colors if these 12 circles are called "spheres".

Sphere is a 3-dimensional object, correct? What we call "sphere" in this case is 2-dementional optical illusion played by shadows. If we allow the shadows to trick our minds, we must allow the colors to play their game too, hence these balls are in 3 colors.
