Of course opinions can be negative, George. Opinions aren't a free pass to make disagreeable comments presented in a way as if these are facts. Opinions can also be positive as well. You are right, of course, that every body does indeed hold opinions, however, these can be both informed and ill-informed. Can be offered in a calm or a disagreeable manner. Some come from knowledge and learning and some from emotional reactions to things we don't like and don't take the time to properly understand. Sometimes it's good humor that helps proffer an opinion.
But, dont try to piss on somebody else's parade and then try to pass this off as if this were only a spring shower of rain.

All of that is of course, my own personal opinion, btw and no opinions have been hurt or injured in writing the above response.

Jack's mum threw some beans out of the window that Jack had swapped the family cow for. The bloke looking is not Jack but the one who swapped the beans for the cow and he's wondering if he'd made a mistake. And this rubbish I've just written is a direct result of lock-down.

Your points are well taken. But when a statement is made like, "That car is butt ugly", that is an opinion. There is no intent of it being a fact. And if someone takes it as being negative, it's they who have the problem. They may think the same car is "Drop dead gorgeous", and that too, is an opinion. All of us are entitled to like or not like the same cars.

The biggest drawback to social media pages is there are too many people who take offense with anyone that doesn't share their viewpoint (or opinion).

If our opinions differ on a car, we should all be mature enough to realize that we all have differences in what we like and don't like.

It IS rubbish - but high quality rubbish, garbage or junk - international standard.

Points well taken, my friend. For the record though, I am not offended by what you write, I just th that you could make a better job of it by being less devisive in the lexicon you choose. But I do believe this style of comment is amusing to you and negative reactions are a bonus.
