In Beautiful BLACK & WHITE

There is something special about a black & white photo.  Color is great, but black & white seems to reflect a time when it was a simpler world.  

Add in that these are Oldsmobile's and this is one really cool pic!

A manner of photography used predominately during the '30s, but from the 1920s right through to the 1960s is Duotone. Which is often mistaken for a colour print of monochrome photography.

I cannot provide scientific descriptions, but there will be two, different monochrome images superimposed one, upon the other, giving a very rich tonal feel to the image.  The second tone can be so close to the black and white, that it may go unnoticed.

None of this should be confused with Photoshop attempts that have all the subtlety of a kick in the pants.

@john-barry I keep offending you! It isn't intentional I assure you.  And there's nothing wrong with things having their own character: I'm working, though not directly, with photoshop all the time.  This is what I was referring to.......
