Love it. At a glance it appears that many were six cylinder cars.
I see a couple of Mustang GTs in the foreground indicating the picture was taken in April '65 or later. There's also side view of a dark green convertible with a white top that has the accent group (rocker molding, paint stripe, scoop delete) similar to mine. Great picture Galen!
I noticed that this post just made me an honorable member!
Beautiful car Pete. How long have you owned it?
Thanks Bob. I bought it back in 1977 when I was in college. I cleaned out my bank account and paid the second owner $500 for the Mustang, who had purchased it in 1971 from the local Lincoln-Mercury dealer. It had been repainted a faded light blue. Below is the day I brought it home. That's my little sister "driving". As I recall, it didn't make it all the way and I had to push it the last block and a half!
It was featured in Quentin Tarentino's last movie "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" in a scene in Westwood. The lifter noise was dubbed!
Wow, cool ! Now what about that Capri ?
The '72 in the garage was my first Capri. I sold to my sister and bought the '74 because I wanted a V6 and a sunroof, which was always open!
I always love to hear a story of how a car (particularly a 60s Mustang) survived against the odds. By the way, those 6 cyl. Capris were great little cars!
