I think quite a lot of mine have gone. I keep walking into rooms to look for them and thinking "Now what did I come in here for?"

Graeme, that happens naturally, your brain resets when you go through a door, if you go back to the prior room your brain switches back and you are suddenly getting your marbles back. Now, if you tell me you are selling your model cars collection, I would believe you are loosing marbles, and it could be permanent.
I still have all of my marbles; I keep them in a red velvet draw string bag that my mother made for me many many years ago.

Have you checked them recently? Based on your post I think you may have lost them all. 😊Â

That is a great idea; now all you have to do is look for where you left the bag.
She's out in the back garden, playing with my marbles.

Graeme; if you exit the room in question by walking your entrance path backwards all should be restored. In the event that you trip over your marble bag in the process, that would of course be a win-win.
