If I were driving that road I wouldn't know what to do! I do not speak Greek!
@perrone1, I'll make you some. My grandfather, who looked nothing like Gort, taught me how to make it.

A favorite restaurant I frequented when living in Florida, was Pappas in the Greek sponge fishing dock area of Tarpon Springs. I almost always finished a meal with baklava. I also learned to love their martinis there - made with anchovy-stuffed Greek olives!!
@perrone1 Tony......there is no doubt about it.....you are a gustatory God and Lord of libations!

Oh NO Jack, not at all! I merely like the taste of good food and certain drinks. (

A good Greek salad followed by either a Souvlaki or Moussaka (both favorites), and accompanied by a Bombay Sapphire and Greek olive/anchovy, martini finished with Baklava and an Ouzo, is just a plain old ordinary day.
Me thinks there's nothing plain nor ordinary bout a day like that 👍
@perrone1, I've enjoyed those before. But I began to feel guilty about those anchovies. Who trained them to stuff olives? How much were they paid? Was this a case of anchovy labor?

Communications break-down. No minor anchovies were harmed in the making of any martini's. It's my Greek "Aunt Chovy" who stuffs the olives.
@perrone1, Ohhhh! Hey! Did she ever shave her mustache?

@jkuvakas Unfortunately, no, John. But she did add some wax to it and twirls the ends into a point!
