Not in Canada they didn't....in fact the majority were 6 cyl. and on the shorter Chevy chassis.
Just think if we had all these together we'd rival Pebble Beach...almost.
Sorry I didn't know you were referring to the Canadian versions.
My mistake.
I was always quite amazed at the differences between the post war American and Canadian Pontiacs. The American ones seemed in the Oldsmobile class to me whereas the Canadian ones were definitely Chevy sized in chassis and power plants. A while back we discussed the different tail ends up to 1954, then the "wide track" late 59 & 60 Pontiac bodies on the narrower track Canadian chassis. Now that I know about this last point, thanks to Forum knowledge, Canadian Pontiacs look weird to me. Lol.
And as I'm babbling about Pontiac, I must reiterate how mad
I will be to my dying day at GM for pulling the plug on Pontiac. Such a terrific and very popular car with a rich and positive history deserved much better. Same for Olds too quite frankly. I just don't understand how GM can be so uncaring about these brands that are so entrenched in American culture. Makes me sick!!! Okay, I'm done.
See I told you they looked weird.....:)

Me, too. Big strong comfortable and great on the highway.
Yes, you've ruined me for Canadian '59 and '60 Ponchos now! Lol.
LOL.

1953 Morris Minor convertible white with a red leather interior, 26 horsepower as I recall. If I stalled it my father taught me how to hand crank it.
