Beautiful Cadillac without a doubt, George, but to my eye, this is the best styled car of the 50s:
Amazing how our eyes see different things. When I look at your Chrysler, I see an older persons car that already looks stodgy and dated. While the '56 Cadillac looks new, rich, and royal.
Too many beautifully styled cars of the '50s.....for me it's impossible to pick just one. Since I'm a long time Corvette fan I have to include the '56 - '57 Corvette.
I love the 507 and the 300 SL but that Ferrari Frank chose captures my heart. All three designs are clean and pure. They convey a clear message, "This car is made for driving pleasure and excitement."

George, I'll give you a specific reason why, to my eye, it's the Cadillac that looks dated: it's got that tall, bulbous hoodline standing high above the front fenders vs. the Chrysler's much lower, sleeker hood height.
If I had to choose only one car and as much I love Cadillacs, I'd select the 1956 Lincoln Premiere as the most beautiful & elegant automobile of the 1950s, especially in convertible and coupe versions.
