1953 GENERAL MOTORS "MOTORAMA"

Franklin Mint gave us the CADILLAC and Danbury Mint gave us the BUICK in 1:24 scale.  But neither of them thought to give us the CORVETTE and the OLDSMOBILE.

From a collector perspective, they both dropped the ball.

@frank, awesome if one collects 1:43 scale.  I don't.  Love your photo!

Both FM & DM offered the '53 Corvette in 1/24. So really, the only model we did not get is the Oldsmobile. In 1:43, they are all available.

Here's a few of my Motorama Pics I took a couple of years ago.

THANK YOU John!  I wasn't aware that both mints had offered the Corvette, so my mistake.  I'm guessing that since I'm not really a Corvette guy, it slipped by me.  I appreciate you correcting and sharing your great photos.

Love the cars and the pics. Yes, too bad "the Mints" didn't produce the Oldsmobile.

I'm reminded often that mistakes are the reason pencils have erasers.  Smile

Yes indeed.  And if we are afraid to make mistakes, we won't succeed.  Smile
