I've been the victim of a stray semi truck tire coming down the road at 70 MPH on the freeway in California with my wife and kids in the car. Luckily it hit my bumper and bounced off the top without causing any damage or loss of life. Ever since that day I get around anything that resembles a large truck that is hauling anything as soon as possible.

Why would those drivers, who can CLEARLY see the hydraulic hoppers lifted high in the air, (KNOWING IT WILL HIT OVERHEAD SIGNAGE) continue following those trucks so closely? WHY??
