Seems I haven't read a correction here yet. I apologize that I was 101% wrong about Snidely and DJ. 

Snidely was in the cartoons with Dudley Do- Right on the Rocky & Bullwinkle show. 

I'm sorry I was so quick to mouth off and my fingers so itchy to post. 

I shall step down off my pedestal now and crawl under my rocking chair in desperate despair.

One of my faves!

Cecil the sea sick sea serpent. Watched it a couple of times but not into kiddy cartoons by '62. Didn't compare to the older Roadrunner ['49] or the much better animation of Warner Brothers Bugs ['40] or Daffy ['37] or Merrie Melodies ['31]or The Flintstones ['60].
