I have the green version but much prefer this blue shade.
That's a beautiful Navitimer, Tony. I don't remember seeing a WR 100 like that before. Are there more watches in your collection?

Thank you John!! The Breitling is my daily watch. I sold a new Date-Just gold & stainless Rolex to buy a new gold President Rolex Day/Date but it didn't keep the time that a watch of that caliber should. The Navitimer is a tank and keeps flawless time.

I like the wire wheels on the green version better though.

I hear ya Tony....my Timex is just an amazing time piece; it even has a genuine leather band. It does tend to get out of time every March but corrects itself about six months later...weird.

Yes, definitely.

I've always aspired to owning one of those. Maybe next year when my ship comes in.
@perrone1, I've heard that Rolexes are easily magnetized, although I'm not sure why that would not be as true for other brands. Are you familiar with Chrono24? I've used them several times.

Jack, have you considered not wearing your Timex during those periods?

Thanks for your suggestion JK. I have in fact found this substitute for those periods but sadly it is less effective on cloudy days or when indoors. I got it on sale but I think it was marked down because the numbers are all scrunched together......decent price though!
@jack-dodds, as an aspiring watch expert, I can confidently tell you that your interim timepiece was not discounted because of the arrangement of the numbers. Those are precisely placed according to the National Order of Time Indexes in Metric Environments at their bi-annual meeting in Oslo in 2001. The problem is that your particular timepiece was calibrated for the Southern Hemisphere.

Aaaarrgh...I might have known; it seems so obvious now that you mention it. Serves me right for getting pissed in the airport lounge and missing that Oslo flight to the *NOTIME convention back in '01. Obviously the only way of telling time then is to hang upside down from the monkey bars while reading my watch....which may have to wait until next fall when I have trimmed down; lest I injure myself again.
* Well done!

I heard that too John. But for what those things sold for I wasn't willing to accept an excuse for its bad time. I just sold it and made a couple bucks on it. Mine:
I have heard of the Chrono 24 and ALL good! A good resource.
I settled on the Breitling and have had perfect luck with it.
