I hate to throw you under the bus George, but I have to bring up ancient deeds. Something you said in the forum years ago always stuck with me. In a discussion about dueling’56 Bel Airs, you chimed in that the DM Chevy is a “perfect” model and a “bucket list” item.Having always adored the ‘56, I scoured the secondary market only to find they very, very seldom come up, and if they did, they were way out of my financial reach. Well, one came up that was advertised new in the box, but at a price I really couldn’t afford, so I bought it! (I’m weak, I admit it.) well, I received it today, and as far as it being perfect, by George, it is. Thank you! (Pun intended)
Kevins...not sure how taking my suggestion about the DM '56 Chevy some years ago is "throwing me under the bus", but I'm happy you were able to find the model and indeed take it off your bucket list. I still say it's a perfect replica.

....it does look pretty good - and certainly MUCH better without those skirts (IMO )
@georgeschire You have a really good eye for art George, and the ‘56 is definitely a masterpiece! If any of my friends out in the Zone don’t have this model, give it a look, it really is amazing. Well worth the month without electricity too, it’s overrated anyway.
@geno You got that right, skirts are for chicks Geno. Back in ‘63 my Dad bought a ‘60 Tri-Power Ventura from the local Chevy dealership. Good old Dad, being the lovable Wisconsin hillbilly that he was, had stainless steel aftermarket skirts on it. After about a month looking at those hideous monstrosities my brother took them off one night and got rid of them. When Dad noticed it he thought someone had stolen them because they were so cool and looked so good with his curb finder light poles. BTW, love the ragtop!
