Very interesting. I am just as interested in airplanes as cars, so I appreciate seeing this. Thanks.

This is particularly interesting to see the interior of this plane and all the controls. A few years ago, I met a retired firefighter who flew B-17 as water bombers in California during the 80's.

My godson is a Lt. Colonel "Top Gun"  in the Airforce.... his stories are endless and fascinating.  😉    Currently, he's on a six-month administrative assignment (no flying ) in Miami.    Not all military deployments are "hell!"      😉 😉

Thanks Richard. A few years ago, a friend who is a retired Air Force pilot and retired American Airlines pilot, was teaching at our Air national Guard base,  the pilots to fly the C 17s on the simulator. He asked if I would like to fly the simulator and I jumped at the opportunity. After seeing this video I truly believe that flying the B 17 was a much more involved operation.

Thanks for posting this Richard, fascinating video made the year I was born. Those planes weren’t built for comfort, just to get a job done!
