Oh man, I love Dolly. A true kind hearted legend.😢
This is the first I’ve heard. 🙏😇 for you Dolly RIP
I just heard, even if you didn't care for her music you have to admit.... she was a hell of a woman; successful in everything! She will be missed!
She was a remarkably kind and generous person. And, of course, incredibly talented. One of the greats. RIP, dear Dolly.
Such devasting news. I am a huge Dolly fan. She was a truly remarkable person, with a heart as big as the world. I've put my extensive catalog of Dolly's music on whole house play - I'll take days to listen to it all.

I have just been reading about her business acumen and incredible generosity. Wonderful remarkable woman. From the article:
On top of everything else, Dolly Parton was a sharp talker.
“The way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain,” she quipped. “If you don’t like the road you’re walking, start paving another one.”
“My songs are like my children; I expect them to support me when I’m old.”
“You’d be surprised how much it costs to look this cheap!” The list of quotations goes on.
Of her very distinct structure and noticeable bosom, she once quipped: “I was the first woman to burn my bra – it took the fire department four days to put it out.”
And another, on her use of wigs. How long does it take to do your hair, the interviewer asked. “I wouldn’t know. I’m never there,”
But Parton was also a source of great wisdom. “Don’t get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life,” she said. “You’ll never do a whole lot unless you’re brave enough to try.”
“Find out who you are. And do it on purpose.”
We were watching TV late yesterday afternoon when the news was announced. Shirl burst into tears. Dolly is originally from Pigeon Forge, a short distance away and she often lives here when doing business associated with Dollywood. Before retiring, Shirl met her and has always talked about her genuine, kind and unassuming nature. Hit her hard. She was a fine lady.
@perrone1 ...a class act always. The world will miss her - now, and forever. R.I.P. Dolly It's nice that your wife was able to meet her.
A class act in every regard. Dolly's passing is a real loss but a real gain for heaven. I'm guessing she already has the angels singing.
A true lady and the one who opened my mind and heart to country music.
I don't know much about her, but she seemed like a warm-hearted person to me.
