It is an article of faith in the cycling community that the ideal number of bicycles is n+1 where "n" is the number of bikes already owned.

p.s. Not familiar with that distinctive type of box. Gun ammo? Mortar bombs? Bike spares? Radioactive waste?

They're ammo cans.  I buy military surplus cans because they make great tool boxes when I go to the self-serve junk yards (auto dismantling yards).
