PIC: A new Cadillac pickup,

I know times have changed but I never thought the day would ever come when the name Cadillac would ever be on a pickup or an SUV but just on a nice sedan.

What's more crazy than a Cadillac pick-up, are the people that buy them.

Lincoln had one, so why not Cadillac.

I resent that remark.

Cadillac made pickups until 2013. The Escalade EXT was based on the Chevy Avalanche, tricked out in a new suit and a high price. The Lincoln Blackwood sold fewer than 3500 units in 2002, before it was killed off after only one year of production. The base price was $52K ($71K in today's dollars), and they sell now for $12K-14K.

Caddy sold considerably more Escalade EXTs than Lincoln did Blackwoods, and they were in production for a lot longer. One reason is that they had the 4WD option which the Blackwood did not offer.

I like this, actually, except for the boring color. I hate silver. Yaaaaawn.

This is just some guy's "show truck" and not a production (or planned production) vehicle.

I don't like this one. The Escalade pickup was more in keeping with the Cadillac styling standard IMO. I wouldn't be inclined to buy one however; just not my style; plus they depreciate like no tomorrow.

Diverse tastes are what keeps "car guy" conversations & relationships interesting!

Imagine how boring car shows would be if everyone brought the same set of wheels.

Dennis, to be honest, I don't think I've ever seen an EXT. At least, one that I can remember. Escalades are everywhere here, but I can't recall ever being aware that I was seeing a Caddy pickup. They had to have sold better than the Lincoln, and I have seen a few of them including one just the other day.
