Like the other automobile companies, Ford also came out with real beauties for 1956. All of these cars have been done in some scale or material. Here is the line up, possibly at the Ford Rotunda in Dearborn. The Rotunda was originally at the Chicago World's Fair in 1933 and was unfortunately destroyed by fire in late 1962.

The '56 Ford and Mercury line are gorgeous.  I would love to see the '56 Ford Victoria 2drht. (no connie) done by Goldvarg as well as the Park Lane wagon.

Can't get better than a picture of cars displayed in an ad. All beauties but the Ford Fairlane Victoria takes first place.

Yeah and how about the one with the Chrome bar and the glass rooftop... Wasn't that termed the Crown Victoria ? I haven't had a chance to look it up yet Jack LOL.

The Crown Vic had the plexiglass roof section as an option. The all-steel top was standard. All Crown Vics had the chrome strip across the roof.

Nice views of these automobiles, John ! Both the Fairlane and the Crown Victoria are gorgeous cars. I had heard that the plexiglass-topped Crown Victoria had a snap-in insert that could go beneath the greenish plexiglass roof panel to attempt to control heat build up. Even supposedly on cooler days, the sun could really heat up the interior of the big Ford. It still looked really neat, though.

What the heck!?  I've never seen this particular ad before....or perhaps I did and completely repressed  the image but ever present in my subconscious. 🤔 🤔 🤔  Many years ago, I posted this pic on the Forum 18.  Spooky! 😱

Love the '56 line up FoMoCo had. The only dislike being the butt wart on the T-bird. '56 was Ford's year and '57 was GM's year for looking great, in my opinion.

The glass topped Crown Victorias were named Skyliners which the name was then used in the 57-59 retractables.

Here is the Rotunda as it was at the Chicago World's Fair in 1933-34. It was later dismantled at the end of the Fair and later erected at Ford's headquarters. Much later still it was completely covered in it's center section. It was supposed to resemble gears and was a great looking building.
