I don't think so....
(PIC) This is a YOUNG Irene Ryan ("Granny")
photo no longer available
She made a mean possum belly stew.
Sorry guys, I missed this one by a mile.
I hope you will forgive since it is my first mistake ,LOL.
Yes, this pic is believable, the other was too much of a babe.

The autograph says, "Irene Hervey"

I've just had fun trying to authenticate this photo as being Irene
Noblitt Ryan. So far I've seen the same picture in half a dozen different sites, generally with a circa 1920 date. She was born in 1902, so this would have been about age 18. I also found another that seems about the same time period, perhaps a little later:

And a little later:

And one we can all agree upon:

Me? I liked her as "Granny."
...by my count Dick, this is your second mistake.
LOL!
Wow I didn't know I was that bad. Two mistake s, that's hard to take.
I did ask Ilene if that is possible and she agreed with you. Bad day for me, LOL!
The first two are Irene Hervey or Irene Dunne, both actresses from the 30s and 40s.
Ms. Dunne often played across from Carey Grant and Ms. Hervey did a variety of roles across from well known lead men or third billing in many movies from the mid 30s into the 50s.
Great day for us every day Dick.....thanks to your contributions.
