Oh John!! You're running on all supercharged cylinders today my friend!

Long have I loved the Graham Sharknose! But add a distinguished dose of Jacques Saoutchik to the mix and O M G!! What a beauty and especially in this color collage! Wonderful and exquisite choice!

Thanks John. This car is certainly worthy of it's inclusion into the Classic Car Club of America status. I have a 1/43 scale model of this car in red.

Now that's a great looking 30's car that I would love to have a diecast of.

Love Graham Sharknoses, and this one is gorgeous. How interesting that Saoutchik devised that door mechanism 35 years before the Mohs SafariKar!

@chav oh yeah, many years, although one of the latest Automodello emails suggested 'some movement' on it.

Its a spectacular car, almost the epitome of Art Deco, automotive design. I have this nice IXO 1/43, (possibly the same one as Bob?) and will still add the Automodello if and when it arrives.

Great selection as always John. Great provenance story, love this line: "Harrah’s staff performed their usual painstaking research on the car’s past, including following up on a rumor of its use by Charles de Gaulle; they contacted de Gaulle’s office, which sent back a terse reply that they would not be commenting, and that it would be best not to pursue the matter further!"

I think this Graham was going to be offered in 1:24.  I paid in advance many years ago.  Sad to say we still don't have this beautiful auto in 1:24.  Years passed, I contacted the vendor, they lost records I paid for this model in advance.  I had to show them my bank credit card records from many years past to get a refund.

I still want this car in my collection.

What a stunner! I'm eager to see Automodello's version as well.
