Thanks John, I like it. I find its history interesting especially that it had cable operated brake drums. I guess I’ve lived a pretty sheltered life as i’ve never heard of an automobile with those.

I like it too. I see several styling cues from other car makers including MG, Bugatti and Jaguar. A rare car with only 241 built. But my goodness would I love to own this coupe; the ONLY one made!

I love that H.R.G. I have only seen one Airline Coupe in real life, MG, I think.  In the 1950s, my Singer SM1500 Roadster shared its power train with H.R.G. I do not remember which of the two developed it.

love it too. Seems rare all round, all material on the Coupe is covered by Johns Wiki article. Searched for roadster stuff and only 5 pictures came up, and of only 1 car and the Esval 1/43.

but there is an interesting video, I cannot speak Spanish? but it appears to be gent who has 'barn found' one. From about the 12 minute mark there is very good video coverage of the car, and I could sort of pick up what the guy was saying from the video coverage

Hi Geoff.

I may have shared this before, my 1954 Singer SM1500 Roadster. It has an aluminium (British spelling) body on an ash wood frame and is powered by the same engine as that 1953 HRG. Images are my future wife, Lois and me, back in the late 1950s.

I enjoyed the video. I had to watch it on YouTube but understood enough Spanish also.
