Great history...thanks John. Such a shame it was lost in a fire.
My first interest in racing vehicles was following record attempts. I was born to late for Eyston and Cobb, but Campbell and Breedlove etc., loved following them. Thanks for this John.
Like David, I had an interest in land speed record cars and followed them for a while. I remember this Thunderbolt but didn't know the full history of it - thanks John! Great choice!
Fascinating article. Thanks, John.

Thanks John. Everyday's a learning day here on the forum.
Incredible "Each engine was of 36.5 litres capacity, supercharged, and had an individual output power of 2,350 bhp (1,752 kW; 2,383 PS)."
I remember Donald Campbell and the Bluebirds attempts in 1960s here in Australia on central Australian salt lake, Lake Eyre
As always such an interesting post, thanks John
