Many years ago on the old Diecast Pub, there were some collectors wondering and asking questions about the various Sox and Martin drag cars used. At that time, Ertl had recently released a really nice 1/18 Plymouth GTX and I had a model of a yellow/black vinyl top one. (before I eventually lost it to inter-granular corrosion)

There were some questions about which car they were racing in 1971 and I found a picture my Dad had taken at the Chicago show in '71. In the background you could see a partially obstructed view of a Plymouth Sox and Martin drag car. Using an enlargement of a part of that picture and my 1/18 Plymouth GTX placed in the same position, we came to the conclusion it was a 1971 Sox and Martin Plymouth GTX/Satellite car, in their color scheme, on the turntable in the distance.
