No not seat covers but that is how the seats are made.
Also the seats are solid foam rubber, no springs and so soft. The most comfortable seats in any car.

John, here is the SM. The seats are very different and not as soft as the DS but still very comfortable. Sadly the SM had a lot of engine problems with the Maserati V6 and they were expensive to fix.
