You are welcome ! In my dreams, that's my house, that's my girlfriend and that's my car .......
There's a great book on the Technical Center - Where Today Meets Tomorrow - (ISBN 978-161689-896-7 if you do not already have it). And if you don't mind, I might copy your wonderful image for a book-mark. For a residential version, you might look at Paul R. Williams' architecture. Errett Lobban Cord did; along with Frank Sinatra & al.
Thanks, Charles ! I don't have that "Where Today Meets Tomorrow" book, but it sounds like an excellent volume to pick up.
Mid-Century Modern styles and architecture are exceptionally cool and a place like Palm Desert, California is a fine place to view some of these homes, etc, like Frank Sinatra's house as well as many other architectural examples.
Another fantastic photo Mike! To me, today, the Roadmaster is the star here. The building is in the wrong locale, for me. Since I was 10 at the time and presume the lady was then, at least 20, she'd now be pushing 90. But that Buick is still the thing of dreams!
Love the pictures Mike. The 57 Buick has been a favorite of mine from the first time I saw one in the showroom. I dated a girl in 1957 who's parents house looked much the same as that one pictured. When I picked her up on a date it felt like I was in a whole different time zone.
@perrone1 Thanks for ruining my day Tony. You had to mention the ladies age today?
Well, one could read "The Time Machine" by H.G. Wells after viewing this photograph ...... and the car, the house and the girl are still at the perfect age !
AND...the car would be under warranty!Well, one could read "The Time Machine" by H.G. Wells after viewing this photograph ...... and the car, the house and the girl are still at the perfect age !
