At one time at least, automobiles played a large role in daydreams. Well, that and the beauty who sat a couple of seats ahead of you in class ! This is a poster/collage I made several centuries ago when I was in a high school art class. The automobiles are all from our old National Geographic magazines. I still think they are all sensational !
I think it's safe to say all of us did something like this when we were young, centuries ago.  I know I did; I created an entire wall that resembled this! 😉 National Geographic  contained terrific ads!
Yep, I did the car pics too.... interspersed with a few from Hefner's publication.... !
I did my version of this....I coillected the Jell-O car wheels. I have a set in my automobilia collection just for nostalgia..
@chris I agree with you. I took photos out of all the car magazines I would get, Car Craft, Hot Rod, Motor Trend and put them on my walls as well. Today I still have a few posters up in my office/car room.
I have that set to Jack along with the airplane set that followed it. I look at them both periodically. Great nostalgia. I have not eaten Jello for years.

David; I recall at age 10 (1962) begging my mother to buy Jell-O just so I could get the car wheel inside. I have the airplane set too. I still eat Jell-O though, from time to time. Lol.
To start with, I have never been a fan of Jell-O. Back in the late '60's in my first house I found I had a small spare room and a large pile of Penthouse & Playboy mags, so myself and a couple of friends cut out any of the better pics and glued them to all 4 walls and a lot of pillows & cushions covered the floor, and a stereo of course. A great party place a couple of years before kids. I sold the house with the room and pics intact, don't think the new owners appreciated that room, but they were made well aware of it. Never did car posters or hung up pics of cars. Had around 40 1:25 AMT 3 in 1 and Jo Han plastic kits by the time I was 17 years old. Took years and a lot of 2 cent & 5 cent soda bottles, I would buy & build one a week for a while plus a couple of them at christmas & birthdays. I can't remember what I did with all of them before I went into the Army
