You are right Terry, it is not a truck name, it is a TV show name. And Ford's vehicle that bears the name is not really a truck but an SUV with a box for the back area.

True....and they will sell like hot cakes. Lol. What took the domestic car companies so long? Toyota, Nissan/Datsun, Mazda, etc. pickups have been big sellers in N. America since the late 60s/early 70s.

The Maverick should be popular in city and suburban environments where space is more of an issue. Also popular with seniors as handling would be far easier. Then of course there is the fuel efficiency issue. I think it is a cool little beast.
