that has too much trim, in my opinion, and the fat bumpers and oversized exhausts spoil what appears to be an otherwise nicely done mild custom. I've done several edits but will present three of them, in addition to the 'as found' photo, to see if less is more.
As found:
Made simpler, more streamlined bumpers, tucked them closer to the body and downsized the exhausts. Removed some of the side trim, etc.:
Removed the inset license plate and a bit more trim:
Removed the rest of the side and below door trim, flush fit the tail lights and tucked the pipes in:
While not real evident in the third photo, the relocated door opener can be seen easily in the fourth one. It would drive a solenoid, retaining functionality while smoothing the body side.

Enjoy!
I like pic 2 the best; leaving some trim but losing those heavy bumpers works visually for me.
@jack-dodds: Thanks, Jack. Where do you stand on the inset license plate surround? While this is frequently done on mid-to-high end customs, I find it breaks up otherwise smooth bodywork. How do you view this?
I’m going with number 2 as well , that trim spear just gives it the bit of flash it needs, also much prefer the clean trunk lid ….
@tldaly I prefer the inset plate to a smooth unadorned trunk lid. To me it looks too bare; like something is missing.
@jack-dodds: Thanks, Jack, it only appears that something is missing because......something is missing.

Ooooh....now I get it. Lol.
