is pleasing but still a bit busy, to my eye. So I did a couple of photo edits and share the results.

As found:

48 Plymouth Coupe Magazine Cover Custom1 (1)

Mildly dechromed:

48 Plymouth Coupe Magazine Cover Custom1 (3)

Changed to a hardtop:

48 Plymouth Coupe Magazine Cover Custom1 (4)

Your comments, as always, are welcome.

Do you prefer one, over the others?

Enjoy!

Love it.  My first car was a '46 Plymouth - that model.  First time I've seen it with wire wheels and as a hardtop.  I like it.  I customized mine too.  Looks a lot like the one in the first picture.

Okay.  Maybe not.

I prefer the stock look on this car but do like your 3rd rendition.  This particular car imho is one that really suits a restomod application; especially if the interior can be left as stock looking as possible (style remains but with more modern material used).  A suspension upgrade, 383 engine/drive train and conservative wheels would be a great transition for this car.

@kocour: did a nice job on nosing the hood, Frank. I'd have driven it, in the day!

@tldaly LOL.  Here's the story behind the customization of my '46 Plymouth.  It's not what you think.

When I was at a buddies house I parked my car in his yard and had to leave it there for a bit.  While I was gone he decided to bull nose the hood.  So, he ripped off all of the chrome and bent it in the process.  Not realizing that the hood was a two-part piece with a seam down the middle he improvised and covered the seam with black electrician's tape.  Looked great in pictures and from a distance.
