Greatly admire your editing skills, but although I'm no great fan of the original "toothy" look, it was kind of typical of its day and the re-work looks a little bland by comparison! Maybe it would look a bit better without the sun visor which almost makes it look like a chopped-roof job (a particular dislike of mine, though I know some people love'em).

Funny that back in the mid 60s I liked the dummy spots but now think they look well…..Dum lol. Number 3 would be you givemy choice…
Your edits look nice but I'm just a guy who likes original cars warts and all.
@graeme-ogg: Not a fan of sun visors either, Graeme, but this one looked naked without it. Also not a big fan of the multi-tooth grills, but dislike the extended parts of the bumper even more. Will take another hack at it, when time permits, trying a non-toothy straight grill bar. Can share this, if you'd like. Thanks for your comments.
@larry-kemling: Don't like the spots either, Larry, especially on post war customs. I, too, prefer the car without them. Thanks.
@bob-jackman: And I respect your choice, as always, Bob. Thanks for taking time to comment.
Up until the past few years I really disliked the "overbite Buick" but as a result of the discussion and exposure this car has gotten on this Forum I have grown to like this one-year oddball grille. I prefer the original this time. Terry, IMHO I think the altered versions need a fuller size bumper.
I echo Bob Jackman's comment above. For me, the nostalgia of an old car is in "what it was", not "what someone changed it to". I'm a purist at heart when comes my old cars. And the '50 Buick Fastback Sedan will AWAYS be iconic to my eyes, just as it was.
