Thanks Jerry, I always enjoy seeing old dealerships.

Now days all the dealers look alike and have no warmth or class in my opinion.

Thanks for showing these. That shot of the Edsel showroom with no customers in it almost made me cry. Then I realized that the cars were Edsels, so I understand now. Pity.

Don Anderson...in late 1957 the new Edsel's were in a dealership on Concord Street in West St. Paul,

Minnesota. As a kid of 6 years I used to go in there and admire those Edsel's. I loved the way they looked and was sad that I was just a kid and couldn't own one, much less drive.

I had my learners permit when the Edsel came out and I was already friends with the manager of the dealership Lockwood Edsel Sales in Roseburg, Oregon. I went to the dealer as often as I could walking a mile from school many days and sit in the new ones. Frank would often toss me the keys to his demo and tell me to take it for a drive, alone yet, on just a permit. I got to drive many a new Edsel and what a thrill it was. I have owned several Edsel's since then.

The Packard service car/truck is a dream. Imagine finding that one stuck back in a garage today!

I can smell that showroom smell as I look at these pictures.

These are great pics. Love the '55 & '56 Fords in particular!
