The '59. Both would look better with fender skirts IMHO.

Barry, I've heard / read here that the wire wheels clearance don't allow for skirts.

The '62 by 100 miles......and I like the '59 (nicest of the squarebirds IMO).

1962 for sure. 1961-1963 are my favorite Thunderbirds. Like them with the skirts, though.

The 62 looks quite authentic except for the tires. 62 was the first year for 1"

white walls. The skirts were an option delete on the Sports Roadster with wire wheels because of clearance issues. While the older Thunderbirds look great with the wire wheels they were not available prior to the 62 Sports Roadster. If you see one of these birds with wires and skirts that means that the wheels are aftermarket that have a different offset.

Bob, you would know for sure. Neither may be 100 percent authentic, but these minor exceptions......

add considerable eye appeal, IMO.
