They are good-looking cars and there would be a big change for Ford for 1949. I have replicas of both the 1948  and 1949 Ford.

I guess I never really noticed that these two look so similar. The Plymouth is a very attractive car, and I like it a lot, but the Ford has a very slight edge in style for me.

In convertible form I prefer the Ford by just a bumperette but love them both.  The V-8 power adds to the Ford appeal as well.
