They look like they could've been built on the same assembly line. I vote tie.
They are good-looking cars and there would be a big change for Ford for 1949. I have replicas of both the 1948 and 1949 Ford.
The Ford by the slimmest of margins. Sentimental reasons. 😊
I voted for the Plymouth but they are almost identical.
Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
Ford for drive train and Plymouth for style. The V8 wins.
I guess I never really noticed that these two look so similar. The Plymouth is a very attractive car, and I like it a lot, but the Ford has a very slight edge in style for me.

Tie for me too. Style wise, it is hard to see the difference.
In convertible form I prefer the Ford by just a bumperette but love them both. The V-8 power adds to the Ford appeal as well.
Ahhh...the good old days when you could tell the cars apart! 😉 I voted for the Ford and its V8.
