Poll: Which '62? (6/14/2022)

Ford for me.

Mercury. I love those taillights! My Uncle had a '62 Colony Park with those same taillights, even on the station wagon version.

Not bad at all. Both nice but I slightly prefer the Mercury.

I used those cool Mercury tailights as the tie breaker👍

I much prefer Ford styling in '62.  The Merc is nice enough but the 60/61 and 63/64 Mercs are better styled.

Too me this is a tie.  They are both the same car, just with different noses and tails.

@carsman1958, a good point. But that's pretty much true for any manufacturer of that era. Isn't it?

I prefer the cleaner lines of the Ford. The Mercury looks like a Ford with tacked on “styling” pieces just to be able to differentiate it from it’s cousin, rather than to enhance it’s style

@jkuvakas Yes it is John.   This one you really can see that they are the same from the side.

But it's those "noses and tails" are all we have to go with when the cars are basically the same.  So in this instance, it is the MERCURY'S "nose and tail", make it my choice.  

I like the overall look of the Ford best.
