I like both but find the Riviera trimmer and more refined. The Pontiac looks like it could go on a diet.
Pontiac by a nose but do like the Buick a bit
@sizedoesmatter That’s what I’m talkin’ about! I like naked. Why would you want to cover up those glorious eight-lug’s? And it looks so much better without the vinyl top! Get rid of the gangsta’ whitewalls, sub red-lines and that would be my perfect GP!

Thankfully, we all have different tastes.

@ed-glorius Ed, thanks, I guess I was mistaken on the Buick. This year just looks a lot like the Toronado and I thought they were both front wheel drive.
Wow what a passionate thread this has become! For me it will always be the Pontiac basically because they don't make Pontiacs anymore. Plus the styling is drop dead. I remember it as a kid.
Even as a 13yr old I thought the ‘66 Riviera one of the most beautifully styled cars I’d ever seen and I still do at 73.
Oh the Pontiac. Mine uncle bought a new 1966 Pontiac, white, 4-door, but it was a Bonneville. Still remember that car. Beautiful to me then and now.
Very slight edge to the Riviera. They are both gorgeous.
Tough call...I'm going with the Buick.
Gents, thanks for your responses.
