Oldsmobile is nice, But Chevelles run in my family. No 1969, but my brother had a 70,72 and a 73 and I had a 71.

I like them both but I rode in my Aunt’s 69 Cutlass.  The car was way too fast for her. She took my cousin who was a teenager with her when she went to buy that car. I think he was thinking of the car for himself. I had an 82 so my heart goes with the Cutlass.

I honestly dislike both. And, for the same reason. I never warmed to the rooflines. On the Olds, I like the rest of the car, but where the roof melts down into the body and rear fender, it gives an overly heavy appearance.

On the Chevy, where I LOVE the more squared-off rear window opening as it blends into the rear of the roof. this previous iteration pinches both the roof and the window.

I wouldn't say no interest so I'll have to go with a tie.

I went with a tie also. I can't say I really like one better than the other. Now if a GTO were thrown in, it'd be no contest.😁

I went Oldsmobile. Contemporary reports said it was the best handler.

Retired in Dunedin, Florida.

I couldn't click fast enough on the Chevelle.  It is my favorite Chevelle of all of them.

Chevrolet for me too. I only owned the 1966 but others including this one were in the family.

Not fond of any GMC mid-size after '67. Not fond of any Olds mid-size.

My neighbor [Richie Lundgren] had a '69 SS 396 in red, it was totaled 3 times, each time it was bought back from the ins co and re-certified. Fast car, too fast for Richie. Today  I choose the Chevelle for Richie, he died last year at 77 years.

I agree with Tony and Geno wholeheartedly, how could Chevy and Olds get the roofline so wrong, and Pontiac totally nail it. One small angle makes a world of difference. Both are great cars but that one styling screw-up ruins the total look for me.
