This one is tough, my first car was a ‘55 Buick, but that’s not my #1 choice. I’m Pontiac through and through, but aside from the suspenders, I think it’s kind of ugly. (Sorry Geno) The Caddy is real classy, I like looking but wouldn’t own one.
1-Chevy for it’s clean, classic lines.

2-Olds.. gorgeous

3-Buick.. nostalgia

4-Caddy.. it’s a shame I’m going to be cremated, alway’s wanted to ride in one!

5-Poncho, the homely Injun.

I like all of these General Motors beauties from 1955, although our family had a 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air and a 1955 Pontiac. The Pontiac was especially long-lasting and after some years, an aunt of mine and her husband continued to use the two-tone Pontiac.

Naturally, iconic Chevy (1), Oldsmobile (2), Buick (3) Pontiac (4), Cadillac (5).

Personal experiences will play invaluable roles in each person's picks here I think. For me it's Cadillac, Buick, Chevy, Olds & Pontiac.

@perrone1 I agree Tony. I think all of the divisions offerings were terrific for 1955. My dad bought a 1955 Pontiac Star Chief Convertible and the memories I have of that car make it a favorite in my mind and I love the paint divide far better than the rest.

The clean Chevy first, then Cadillac, Oldsmobile, Buick, and Pontiac.

The only one I like is the best looking ever, Chevy.

Chevy love it

Oldsmobile is alright

Pontiac & Buick [tie] leaves bit to be desired

Cadillac yuck

For me GMC other than the '55 Chevy did not make a car I liked the styling of until '57 and then I liked them all.

The '50's styling IMO:

'48 to '54 Hudson ruled

'55 & '56 FoMoCo ruled

'57 GMC ruled

'58 & '59 nobody ruled.

Chevrolet, Pontiac followed by the rest as a tie. GM design from 1955 to 1957 was quite good in my opinion.

OLDSMOBILE!  A no-brainer for me on this Which One?.  Inside and out, it's a styling dream.

2. Cadillac  3. Chevrolet  4. Buick  5. Pontiac

I had to think about this one for a bit, I've finally chosen in this order: Pontiac, Buick, Chevrolet, Cadillac, Oldsmobile
